生産ヒストリー Production History
今回ストレートデニムを製作したのは、より多くの方にデニムの魅力を気軽に楽しんでいただきたいという思いからです。これまではテーパードシルエットを中心に展開してまいりましたが、「デニムは好きだけれど、ストレートタイプもほしい」というお声をいただくこともあり、どなたでも穿きやすいストレートデニムをお届けしたいと考えました。
また、生デニムにもう一度挑戦したのは、デニムを“育てる”という楽しみを改めてお伝えしたかったからです。2022年以降、生デニムの製作を控えていましたが、やはり“自分色に染まっていく”感覚は特別なものだと再認識しました。特に岡山・倉敷のデニムは、その風合いや耐久性に優れており、この魅力をそのまま感じていただける一着に仕上げております。
デザインはシンプルでどんなスタイリングにも馴染むよう工夫しています。
We created these straight denim jeans to offer more people the chance to enjoy the charm of denim casually. Until now, we mainly focused on tapered silhouettes, but we’ve received requests from those who love denim and also want a straight fit. So, we aimed to deliver straight denim that anyone can wear comfortably.
We also revisited raw denim to share again the joy of “growing” your jeans. Although we paused making raw denim after 2022, we’ve realized once again how special it is to see your jeans gradually take on your own unique color. Especially denim from Okayama and Kurashiki is known for its texture and durability, and we’ve made this pair to fully capture that appeal.
The design is simple and crafted to blend well with any style.

生地について About the Fabric
このデニム生地は、13.5ozの適度な厚みを持ち、インド藍の天然染料を使っており、10回にわたるロープ染色によって、天然藍ならではの美しい青色を引き出し、他に独特の風合いが楽しめます。
一般的なデニムにはケミカルインディゴ（化学染料）が使われますが、この生地には天然染料を使用しており、染液は一度使うと再利用できません。そのため、非常に貴重で、特別な染色技法が施されています。こうした技法は、今ではほとんど見られない希少なものです。
また、タテ糸の密度を高めることで、白場が少なく、目が詰まったしっかりとした生地感を実現しています。天然藍染の美しさと耐久性を兼ね備えた、伝統的なセルヴィッチデニムです。
This denim fabric weighs 13.5oz, offering a moderate thickness, and uses natural Indian indigo dye. The fabric undergoes 10 rounds of rope dyeing to bring out the beautiful blue unique to natural indigo and create a distinct texture.
While most denim uses chemical indigo dye, this fabric uses natural dye, and the dye bath cannot be reused once applied. This makes it extremely rare and crafted with a special dyeing technique seldom seen today.
Furthermore, increasing the density of the warp yarns reduces white spots, resulting in a tightly woven, firm fabric. This traditional selvedge denim combines the beauty and durability of natural indigo dye.

工場について About the Factory
デニムパンツは、岡山県にある工場で生産されています。伝統的なシャトル織機を使用し、丁寧に仕上げることで、独特の風合いと高い耐久性を実現。また、厳選された素材を用い、「岡山デニム」としての優れた品質を誇ります。環境への配慮も大切にし、持続可能な製品作りを目指している工場です。
The denim pants are produced at a factory in Okayama Prefecture. Using traditional shuttle looms and careful finishing, they achieve a unique texture and excellent durability. Using carefully selected materials, they proudly maintain the high quality known as "Okayama Denim." The factory also values environmental considerations and aims to create sustainable products.

機能性 Functionality
リジットデニムパンツは、そのシンプルなデザインと高い機能性が魅力です。未洗いの生地で作られているため、非常に強度が高く、耐久性に優れています。また、着用することで生地が身体に馴染み、経年変化を楽しむことができます。初めは少し硬めの穿き心地ですが、穿くほどに柔らかくなり、着る人の癖やライフスタイルに合ったフィット感が実現します。
The rigid denim pants feature a simple design combined with high functionality. Made from unwashed fabric, they are very strong and durable. Over time, the fabric adapts to your body, allowing you to enjoy natural aging. Though initially a bit stiff, they soften with wear and develop a fit unique to your habits and lifestyle.

ディテール Details
これまで展開してきたテーパードデニムとは異なり、クラシックなストレートフィットを採用したこのリジッドデニムは、シャトル織機で織られたセルビッチ生地を使用し、5ポケットデザインや裾裏に施された赤耳など、細部にまでこだわった一着です。膝下から裾にかけて均一な太さを保つストレートシルエットは、リラックスした穿き心地と共に、時代を超えた定番スタイルです。また、テーパード仕様からストレートに変更することで、より幅広いコーディネートに対応でき、様々なシーンでの着こなしを楽しめるようにしました。
Unlike the tapered denim we’ve previously offered, this rigid denim features a classic straight fit. Made with selvedge fabric woven on shuttle looms, it pays close attention to details like the five-pocket design and red selvedge edges on the hem. The straight silhouette maintains a consistent width from below the knee to the hem, offering a relaxed fit and timeless style. Switching from tapered to straight fit allows for more versatile styling and enjoyment in various situations.
