
STORIES Vol.2 Looking back on the demon-slaying tour to Sendai

-The demon-slaying tour started in Fukuoka and went on to Yokohama, Hiroshima, and Sendai. I think this was your first time touring the whole country. What was it, honestly?
Taro B: This was the first time we held a POPUP outside of the Kanto region, and to be honest, I was 70% anxious and 30% excited. Our main sales are through EC, and our brand is still not well known, so I wondered if customers would come. That was my biggest worry.
However, when we actually tried it, we found that even people who had never heard of TARROW liked our products and even purchased them, which made us feel more excited than anxious!
I'm really glad that people all over the country got to know about TARROW through the Demon Slaying Tour. It was refreshing and fun to talk to people who actually picked up the book. I also noticed some good things about TARROW that I hadn't noticed before. However, the preparations were harder than I thought! (lol)

- It's certainly important to talk directly with customers. Are there any areas that made a particularly strong impression on you?
Taro B: All the areas left an impression on me (laughs). Each area has its own merits, and I fell in love with the place once again. I usually work on a computer, so I don't serve customers, but every time I do a pop-up, I think it's nice to talk to people.
-If your normal work involves mainly using a computer, serving customers must be a refreshing experience (laughs).
Does that mean you were able to discover new things, such as a customer base that you don't normally see?
Taro B: Yes, there was.
Our products are purchased by a wide range of people, from young people to older people.
I was very happy because I didn't think they would accept me to this extent.
I also discovered that the things people were praised for were different depending on their age group.
The fabric has a nice texture, a good silhouette, and is resistant to washing.
Also, I was often met with people who have a lot of contact with clothes, such as apparel salespeople in the same industry, who would pick up my products and talk to me, which was also a happy discovery.

- I'm glad that people who usually have a lot of contact with clothes and people of all ages picked up the items. This tour seems like a good opportunity for TARROW, but do you have any plans to continue doing it in the future?
Taro B: I often feel like I've been able to connect with local people through the brand, and I'd like more people to know about TARROW, so I'd like to continue doing so.
I've often talked with other staff about how we'd like to do this at this location, and customers have also directly requested it, so I'll do my best to make it happen.
-Then, I'd like to conquer all of Japan by next year.
Taro B: Yes (laughs). I don't know if we can do it within the next year, but I hope we can do it. I hope we can gradually increase the number of our friends all over the country!
